Why AdventureRooms?

AdventureRooms has been around since 2012 and has since established its games throughout Switzerland and worldwide. All puzzles and games are designed and implemented by AdventureRooms, making us unique. Additionally, our games are always generously designed and consist of multiple rooms.

What are AdventureRooms?

AdventureRooms offers you and your friends, family, or colleagues a "real-life escape game." The goal is for a team to escape from a locked room within an hour using cleverness and skill. For 60 minutes, you will be immersed in a completely different world. Let yourself be surprised!

For which occasions is AdventureRooms suitable?

Would you like to experience a unique adventure with your friends or colleagues? Then AdventureRooms is the perfect choice.
A visit to AdventureRooms can be part of a birthday celebration or a bachelor/bachelorette party. Companies can organize great team-building events with us, teachers can book the course for their classes, and families or groups of friends can enjoy an exciting adventure and have a great time together.

What is the difference between the different games?

In all AdventureRooms games, the main objective is to solve puzzles within 60 minutes to escape.
The difference between the games lies in the completely different puzzles and solutions leading to the escape. No prior knowledge is required for any of the games.

What dates are available? How can I book?

You can find available dates on our booking page. Simply click on "BOOK" on our website.

Can I make a reservation via email or a provisional booking?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept reservations via email. Please book your preferred date through our booking platform. Additionally, provisional bookings are not possible—all reservations are considered final.

Which game should I book for my group size?

• 2-6 people: We recommend booking a standard game in one of our four games.

• 7-12 people: We recommend booking a duel in one of our four games.

• 13-36 people: We recommend booking two or three duel games simultaneously at the same location to avoid waiting times for participants.

• More than 24 participants: Please email us at zurich@adventurerooms.ch so we can create the perfect offer for you.

Can I just drop by spontaneously?

No, unfortunately not. You must book a time slot online so we can reserve and prepare the course for you and your friends. For last-minute inquiries, please call us at +41 78 246 88 99.

How can I pay?

An online deposit of CHF 50 is required via credit card. The remaining amount can be paid on-site in cash, with a Maestro card, or a credit card (Postcard is currently not accepted). If you have a voucher, any remaining balance after the deposit will be refunded on-site.

I didn’t receive a booking confirmation.

We’re sorry about that! Please check your spam folder, as our booking confirmation might have ended up there. If you still can't find it, please email us at zurich@adventurerooms.ch.

I need to cancel my booking.

That's unfortunate! Unfortunately, we must charge the full amount for cancellations. However, if you cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled time, you can reschedule once for free. If you do not wish to reschedule, your deposit will be forfeited.

How long does the game last?

The actual gameplay lasts a maximum of 60 minutes. For the entire event, you should plan:

• Standard game: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

• Duel: Approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.
  This includes the introduction, the resolution of unsolved puzzles, and a group photo.

What is a duel?

In a duel, participants are divided into two teams:

• Team A starts at the beginning of the puzzle course.

• Team B starts in the middle of the game.

Team A tries to catch up with Team B within 30 minutes, while Team B attempts to solve all puzzles and escape before being caught.

After a short break for resetting the course, the teams switch roles. This way, all participants experience the entire game. The total event duration is about 1 hour 45 minutes.

When should we arrive?

Please arrive on time for your booked slot. Do not be late! If you arrive significantly late, we may have to shorten your game time to allow the next group to start on schedule.

Is there parking at AdventureRooms?

No, unfortunately, we do not have our own parking spaces. However, there are nearby parking spots in the blue zone. We are easily accessible by public transport:

• Tram No. 7 from Zurich Main Station towards "Bahnhof Stettbach," stop at "Sonneggstrasse." The location is right next to the tram stop.

Our group size has changed after booking. What should we do?

As long as the maximum number of participants is not exceeded, this is no problem. There’s no need to email us about the change. The final number of players will be charged after the game.

Are the escape rooms available in other languages?

Our staff speaks both German and English. The games themselves are language-neutral, and no prior knowledge is required.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes! You can find our gift voucher offers on our website under "Vouchers." We also offer online vouchers, which you can print immediately.

How long is a voucher valid? My voucher has expired!

Our vouchers are generally valid for one year. If your voucher is older than a year, we will still accept it. However, if there has been a price or service change, you may need to pay the difference.

Do I need to make a deposit if I have a voucher?

Yes. Vouchers cannot be applied during the booking process, so every booking requires a CHF 50 deposit. Any remaining balance from your voucher will be refunded at checkout.

What is the minimum age for AdventureRooms?

• Ages 9+ can participate with an accompanying adult.

• Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

• Babies and toddlers cannot be brought into the game.

Is the course dangerous?

No, the course is not dangerous and does not require physical exertion (no running, climbing, or crawling). As long as you follow the rules given at the beginning, the experience is as safe as a movie theater visit. Participation is at your own risk, and insurance is the responsibility of the participants.

I am anxious—can I still participate?

Yes! AdventureRooms Zürich games do not contain horror elements or dangerous situations. You can always see your teammates and exit the game at any time if you feel uncomfortable. All games are monitored via video cameras (without recording).

Can I leave the game at any time?

Yes, you can exit the game at any time.

Are there any restrictions?

• Intoxicated players may be excluded from the game.

• Babies and pets cannot be accommodated.

• People with extreme claustrophobia might not enjoy the experience, but our rooms are spacious.

Are there toilets available?

Yes.
