Booking and payment
How do I book an escape room?
You will find available dates in our booking system. The overview of all games takes you straight to the booking.
Can we also reserve by email?
Yes, you can always make a reservation by email to zurich@adventurerooms.ch. Provisional reservations are not possible, all bookings are considered final.
Can we just drop by spontaneously?
No. Games are by reservation only, and someone is only on site when there is a booking. For last-minute enquiries, give us a call: +41 78 246 88 99.
When can you play?
Monday to Friday 12:00 to 22:30, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 08:00 to 22:30, always by reservation.
Which game suits which group size?
2 to 6 people play in standard mode. 6 to 12 people play in duel mode, in exceptional cases up to 14. For 13 to 36 people, we recommend two or three duels at the same time, so there are no waiting times. For groups of more than 24 people, write to us at zurich@adventurerooms.ch and we will put together the right offer for you.
How much does an escape room cost?
In standard mode, per person: 2 people CHF 49, 3 people CHF 42, 4 people CHF 38, 5 people CHF 34, 6 people CHF 32. In duel mode CHF 32 to CHF 42 per person. All prices include VAT. See all prices.
How can we pay?
Online, you pay a deposit of CHF 50 by credit card, and the rest on site in cash, with TWINT, Maestro or credit card. Companies, schools and registered associations pay by invoice.
We have not received a booking confirmation.
Please check your spam folder, in rare cases it ends up there. Otherwise, write to us at zurich@adventurerooms.ch.
We need to cancel or move our booking.
A change is possible if it is made at least 48 hours before the booked time and another slot is available. The deposit cannot be refunded.
Can someone else take over our booking?
Yes, let us know by email to zurich@adventurerooms.ch, at least 24 hours before the game starts.
The number of participants has changed. What should we do?
For the escape rooms this is no problem, as long as the maximum number (standard mode 6, duel mode 12 people) is not exceeded. After the game, we charge for the actual number of players, and with fewer people the price per person may increase slightly. For Missions, let us know about changes up to 48 hours before the booked time.
The game and how it works
What are AdventureRooms?
A real-life escape game: as a team, you use cleverness and skill to free yourselves from a room with closed doors within one hour. For 60 minutes, you are immersed in a completely different world.
Why AdventureRooms?
AdventureRooms has been around since 2012. We come up with all our puzzles and games ourselves and build them ourselves, which makes us unique. Our games are generously designed and always consist of several rooms.
For which occasions is AdventureRooms suitable?
For friends, families and work colleagues, as part of a birthday celebration or a stag and hen party, as a team event for companies and as an outing for school classes.
What is the difference between the three escape rooms?
In all three games, you solve puzzles within 60 minutes to escape. MAD, Double Agent and Metro have completely different puzzles and solutions. You don't need any prior knowledge for any of them.
How long does an escape room take?
The actual playing time is 60 minutes. Including the introduction, the resolution and a group photo, allow around 1 hour 30 minutes for a standard game and 1 hour 45 minutes for a duel.
What is a duel?
The group splits into two teams. Team A starts at the beginning of the course, Team B in the middle. Team A tries to catch up with Team B within 30 minutes, while Team B tries to solve all the puzzles and leave the room in the same time. After a short break, the teams swap roles. This way, after 60 minutes everyone has played the whole game.
In which languages can you play?
The escape rooms can be played in German and English. No prior knowledge is required.
Where can we find our group photo?
On our Facebook page and on Instagram.
Age, safety and accompaniment
From what age can you play?
The escape rooms are for ages 9 and up. Children under 16 come accompanied by adults, and the adults decide for themselves whether they play along. Unfortunately, babies and toddlers cannot come into the game. More about the children's birthday party.
Is the game dangerous?
No. It requires no physical exertion such as running, climbing or crawling. As long as you follow the rules we explain at the start, the game is no more dangerous than a trip to the cinema. Of course, you can trip or bump into something anywhere, and participation is at your own risk. Insurance is the responsibility of the participants.
I am anxious. Can I still take part?
Yes. Our games are not dangerous and contain no horror elements. You can see your fellow players at all times and can leave the game on your own. For your safety, all games are monitored by video camera, without recording.
Is claustrophobia a problem?
Usually not. The game rooms are quite large, and you can leave the game at any time.
Can you leave the game?
Yes, at any time.
Are there any restrictions?
We may exclude people under the influence of alcohol from the game. Babies, toddlers and dogs cannot take part, and we cannot look after them during the game.
Vouchers
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes, online to print out straight away or with a puzzle box by post. You will find everything about them on the Vouchers page.
How long is a voucher valid?
One year from the date of issue, for the escape rooms, Missions, Murder of the Bishop and Monster in Zürich.
Do we have to pay a deposit if we have a voucher?
No, if you reserve by email to zurich@adventurerooms.ch with your preferred date, the game and your voucher number. The voucher is redeemed on site, and we transfer any remaining balance to a new voucher.
