General Terms and Conditions

1. Conclusion of the contract

Reservations can be made via the reservation form on the website zurich.adventurerooms.ch or by email to zurich@adventurerooms.ch. A reservation is only valid once it has been confirmed by AdventureRooms Zurich by email. By making a reservation, the participant accepts the general terms and conditions of AdventureRooms Zurich GmbH.

2. Services

Our services are as set out in the description of services on the website. Special requests by participants or side agreements only form part of the contract if they have been confirmed by the booking office in writing and without reservation. The services of AdventureRooms Zurich GmbH begin when the participants arrive at the location. Each participant is personally responsible for travelling to the location and arriving on time. The time slots are reserved separately for each group and the room is prepared accordingly. In the event of significant delays, the playing time may have to be shortened. There is no entitlement to a replacement service.

3. Prices and terms of payment

The prices for bookings are stated online or, for larger groups, are agreed directly with the participants. Unless otherwise agreed, the prices are per person in Swiss francs including VAT. The prices valid on the day of the event apply. A deposit must be paid when booking online, and the balance is paid on site. If no deposit is paid, a fee may be charged retrospectively in the event of non-attendance without cancellation at least 48 hours before the booked date. Companies, registered associations and schools can pay by invoice.

Vouchers are valid for one year from the date of issue and are redeemed on site. Any remaining balance is transferred to a new voucher, and a cash payout is excluded.

4. Number of participants and minimum age

The maximum number of participants per escape room is 12 people. Larger groups are only possible by arrangement. The minimum age for the escape rooms is 9 years, and people under 16 may only take part when accompanied by an adult. For the outdoor games, the information on age and accompaniment on the website applies. AdventureRooms is not suitable for people with a severe fear of closed rooms or with panic attacks. Claustrophobia is usually not a problem, as the game rooms are quite large and the game can be left at any time.

5. Terms of use

Participation is at the participants' own risk. Insurance is the responsibility of the participants or of their legal representatives if the participants are minors. The participants are fully liable for all damage they cause to the furnishings and objects.

Photography and filming of any kind within the course are prohibited. The instructions of the game leader must be followed at all times. It is not permitted to copy puzzle ideas or to rebuild puzzles in whole or in part at another location without the permission of AdventureRooms Zurich GmbH.

6. Change of booking, transfer and cancellation

Once the contract has been concluded in accordance with clause 1, a booking can only be changed if the change is made at least 48 hours before the booked date and there is corresponding availability. A booking can be transferred to another person by email to zurich@adventurerooms.ch no later than 24 hours before the start of the game. The deposit cannot be refunded.

7. Programme changes by AdventureRooms Zurich, cancellation of the event

AdventureRooms Zurich GmbH reserves the right to make minor changes to the services. This does not affect the validity or the content of the subject matter of this contract. It may happen that AdventureRooms Zurich has to cancel an event or a booking. In this case, the participant will be informed immediately and offered an equivalent alternative. Should the participant be unable to accept it, they are entitled to a refund of the price paid. Claims for further compensation for expenses or losses are excluded.

Entry may be refused to participants (the group or individual group members) without giving reasons if they are under the influence of alcohol or drugs or otherwise behave in an unacceptable manner, in particular if they do not pay attention when the rules of the game are explained at the beginning. In this case, there is no entitlement to a refund. If AdventureRooms Zurich GmbH has the impression that the participants are using violence, wilfully destroying the furnishings or not following the rules stated at the beginning, the game may be stopped. In this case, there is no entitlement to a refund.

8. Force majeure

If the event has to be cancelled due to force majeure, there is no entitlement to compensation. Force majeure means events that AdventureRooms Zurich GmbH could neither foresee nor avert. These include in particular war, terrorism, political unrest, natural disasters, pandemics and epidemics, nuclear events, fire and water damage or similar events.

9. Liability

Insurance is the responsibility of the participants. AdventureRooms Zurich GmbH ensures that the agreed services are provided with appropriate care and the corresponding expertise.

AdventureRooms Zurich GmbH accepts no liability for direct or indirect damage such as injuries of any kind, deaths, losses (e.g. enjoyment not experienced) or the like. Nor does AdventureRooms Zurich GmbH accept liability for services towards third parties.

10. Data protection

During the game, the group is accompanied in real time by a game leader using video cameras installed in the rooms. The cameras serve only to keep the game leader informed about the group's progress in the game so that they can give tips if needed. The images are neither stored nor transmitted to other screens nor used for any other purpose. After the game, the gamemasters take photos of the groups on a voluntary basis. By arrangement with the group, these photos may be published on the company's own website and on social media channels. Further information can be found in the Privacy Policy.

11. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

The exclusive place of jurisdiction for any disputes is Zurich, the registered office of AdventureRooms Zurich GmbH. Swiss law applies exclusively.
